Easter Bunny

Today was Callie's preschool Easter party. We went for a little while even though she doesn't go to school on Wednesdays. We showed up just in time for the egg hunt and Callie did a good job collecting eggs. Then everyone went inside to wait for the Easter Bunny to arrive. All 40 kids sat on the rug and waited. Callie was surprisingly really excited, while other kids were terrified. Callie wanted to hug the bunny although the rules were all the kids were to stay sitting and not touch the bunny to prevent a madhouse of kids attacking the bunny. I ended p with 2 little girls almost in tears scared of the bunny on m lap while Callie was trying to wander off to try to hug the bunny. She didn't get to and for the rest of the day she has been mad that she didn't get to hug the bunny. She told everyone about it and make a sulking face. I promised we could go see the bunny on Friday and she could hug him since there is one at the mall right down the street. Callie's preschool is calledCottontail Preschool and so the regular decor is all bunnies anyways. We took a photo out by the fence with the biggest rabbit they had :)
After nap time we went to Grandma and Grandpas house for dinner with the whole family! When they invited us over the night before Grandma was on speaker phone and said maybe you guys want to come for dinner, and Callie who wasn't even paying attention yelled YES immediately. She then proceeded to tell Grandma she wanted beans and chickens and mama make it. i said jeez Callie say please! She was excited for the food and ate two plates full tonight asking for seconds! Callie definitely missed being there as she was so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa. They even gave her her birthday present early! A new slide play set. Boy was she excited and played for a long time out there. She even got to hold baby Ford when Jeana and Christian came over. She had such a fun day.

Oh and last but not least she wore her first pair of sticky earrings! They were part of the favor bags for her party and I had some extra. Here she is looking at herself in te mirror all excited about them. What a girly girl! She didn't learn t from me.
