It's my birthday! Callie helped make me a cake and eat it too!

Sorry I'm slacking on posting lots of photos I have. I have been using a lot of eye drops due to dryness from my lasik surgery which makes my vision blurry especially at night.
Here's some photos of visits with friends and Fords actual birthday yesterday.

Why my kids like to sit on the front steps is beyond me. Callie always did and now Diego is desperate to be in the front yard or on the front steps. Today he insisted to eat his cheese puffs out there. I guess we can watch a few cars drove by and people walking the block. Diego yells hi to everyone who walks by.

What a day! We started with Easter egg hunting at 6:30 am and skipped naps for the kids and partied with Ford until dinner. We had a ton of fun. Diego finally understands hunting for Easter eggs and once he knew what was inside he was all into it. Callie was an excellent big sister sharing eggs she got and leaving some obvious ones behind for Diego to find. I forced the kids to get dressed up temporarily for a few Easter photos and Diego wore the same outfit at last year... Still fits.
Then the kids played and played at Fords second birthday party. They love the new playground and backyard and could have stayed til it was dark. Diego even said Happy Birthday Fordie before we left and gave him a kiss which just melted my heart. Happy Birthday Ford, we love you!

Our local organic farm holds a Strawberry Fest every year. This year they decided to do it every weekend during strawberry season! This was the first of the year and we headed out to pick some strawberries and enjoy the farm. We ate organic pizza cooked in a mud outdoor oven thing, bought an organic jalapeño plant for our garden, had Callies face painted, pet the farm dog, danced, and went on a giant swing. No photos of the swing as I fell off the swing holding two kids.. Yep.
Hopefully we make it back for at least one more strawberry fest weekend at Suzies Farm.

On GiJus last day in CA we made impromptu plans. When we didn't have a plan we discovered that the local library was throwing a mad hatter tea party so we went! We had no idea what it would be like but the kids had a blast. We made paper bag hats and decorated them with all sorts of stuff. They had bean bag toss, musical chairs, photobooth, croquet, pin the mouth on the Cheshire Cat, and balloons made by the mad hatter. We had fun there and we visited two playgrounds in the same day. To say I'm exhausted tonight is an understatement. Callie has become a master of climbing all the jungle gyms at the park and D is getting quite brave himself. Callie keeps asking for her own playground so that's on our wish list this year. We had so much fun with GiJu that it's going to be hard to say goodbye so soon. But the next visit is only a month away. :)
