Band Aids

Today I spent over 3 hours sewing felt band aids! It's a good thing Callie was tired from school and took a 2.5 hr nap! She did cry when I dropped her off at school today but again Isaac, another boy in her class, was crying so that set her off. I still left even though she was crying and her teacher said she only cried for about 1 minute and then was fine all day. I went to eat lunch with her today as yesterday she was bummed we didn't stay to eat. When I got there she was already eating sitting at the table like a big girl. She was sitting next to an older girl named Chloe she apparently befriended. Chloe was quite talkative as was Callie throughout the entire lunch. She ate her whole sandwich, told people about her birthday party and her Grandma's house. Jay started crying at lunch again and Callie started talking about him and Isaac crying again. She is quite the tattle tale. Her teacher told me that at snack time another boy tried to take her granola bar and she was firm and adamant in that she was not sharing, saying " NO! That's Callie's!" I told Miss Vanessa that she has been told a lot that she isn't to share any of her food to keep her as safe as possible and she laughed saying she was not even close to agreeing to share snack. Ha ha, apparently all my talking does get through to her.
When she woke up from her nap and saw all the band aids I sewed she was so excited. We put some on her babies and some on her. I think they are perfect and hope the other kids like them as much as Callie does. Here are all the ones I made for the stuffed animals, although they work well for fingers and toes too.

She also got a HUGE box in the mail from her great aunt Charleen in NH and I let her open it since I figured she was going to have plenty of presents this weekend. Boy was she excited. It was the never ending box of gifts. She can open all the presents herself and tell you what they are. Some were for Easter and some for her birthday but she opened all of them at once. She loved the Easter wood ornaments and we sat and painted them. I took some adorable photos and a video but she was asked so I can't post those ones. I did snap these few of her playing with her new princess CD player while wearing her crown. Hilarious... A very big thank you to Charleen for her generous gift and for sending it from so far away. We love you lots and can't wait to see you this summer. I have a thank you video from Callie but she is naked, so I need to send it just to Charleen. Sorry guys...
