Ceramic Christmas trees

callie got a ceramic Christmas tree from GaGa a few years back. She's loved it every year but now Diego is old enough to be jealous! We looked to find another but these are hard to come by. But we asked GaGa and she found another at her house. It was shipped  out and arrived last night. They had so much fun putting on the lights and D is loving it in his room.
I fondly remember having one of these in my bedroom as a child and now they have one too. Passing on the Christmas tradition!

Indoor fort

Cold morning snuggles in bed are the best! Although they are better when they don't start so early!
Daddy made this awesome fort for the kids which they loved and I had to be the grinch who took it down after a day and a half. Yep moms are always the bad guys...

GQ Diego

Diego looks like he could be modeling, the sassy walk and the dimples! He is too much! He even got his Jordan's cleaned at the mall and matched his own hat to his clothes.

Celebrating 6 years cancer free!

November is a month that always reminds me of my family and how thankful I am for each of them.

Last week marked 6 years my mom has been cancer free! Each year I have created a clay flower in the number of years since her surgery for this growing bouquet. It's gorgeous just like my mom. My mom just added the succulents I created this month with the help of the talented Diane.

Love you Mom and so glad we keep continuing this tradition. Here's to 30 more to come! Here's a photo of us together the day before your surgery and just this week.

Diego chases the garbage truck

Diego still loves the garbage man. Since we were off for thanksgiving break we got to see the garbage truck come to our house on Wednesday. He is so excited!

Thanksgiving and more

Here's some photos from Thanksgiving and more. We had a great day full of family, love and lots of food. GiJu had to go home today but luckily it's only a month until we see her again!

Girls day at the zoo

Diego went off with Daddy for the afternoon for football, nap and play so the girls went to the zoo for a bit. All that walking tuckered me out. Callie obviously had a relaxing stroll around the zoo in the stroller so she's well rested.

Garbage truck to bed

GiJu arrived today! And she came with toys in her suitcase as always. This time a bunch came from Kimm and boy is she a good chooser. Diego loves this garbage truck that you can put garbage in the top and then turn the wheel and watch it come out the back. He likes it so much that he took it to bed with him.
We also did a little shopping at home goods and Callie got into this giant sleigh. Apparently they have stock for Santa in case he needs a replacement. I think they had at least 3!

Diego's First Day of School

Diego went to school for the very first time today! He is only going for 3 days this week while Grandma is away and then will start on the regular schedule after my Christmas break. I knew he would like school but thought he would cry when I left for a few minutes. I have been hyping up school for weeks now saying how fun and exciting it is and how he is such a big boy. Callie told him all about how you dont cry and have fun. In the car this morning he said, I'm big and Im not going to cry. Good plan Diego! He did so well in fact that when Juan went to pick him up before nap time he didnt want to go home. I was surprised he wanted to stay. Don't worry Diego, tomorrow you get to go back for another day.

Missing Alexa

Callie was on a random rant for missing her cousin Alexa today. She had on the Iowa shirt she gave her and was carrying around the dolphin toy she sent her in the mail. I don't know when the next visit is but Callie sure can't wait!

Random playground trips

sometimes a random stop for an hour at the playground is just what you need. Callie the ever knowing directions person recognized we were driving near the park and suggested we stop. So I did instead of rushing home to make dinner. We had a great time playing and laughing. And the sunset was perfect. We should have stayed an extra 20 min to see the super moon rising!

Work and sushi

when daddy has to work on a Saturday the fun thing to do is visit and go out for sushi! They love the office... whiteboards, stapler, and cardboard box forts. Tell Santa we don't need any toys ;)
