Baby Wearing Mama

Callie was diagnosed with mild torticollis at birth from having her head stuck in my pelvis for too long without being able to move. Torticollis happens when the muscles of the neck become too tight and do not allow the head to rotate and tilt to the side correctly. It's a condition that is typically treated with stretching in home daily and if needed physical therapy. Lucky for Callie she has me for a mommy and I am fully prepared and qualified to fix her little neck. The pediatrician recommended we not use the carseat except in the car which means I am now a baby wearing mama. Anywhere we take her we need to carry her, and the pediatrician recommended the Moby wrap which forces the baby to rotate the neck while being carried, 2 birds one stone if you will. Well being the crafty person I am I realized that this wrap is just a long piece of stretchy fabric. I decided I could make my own just as good if not better than the store bought version. So here is my first trial at the wrap. I am planning on having a basic and a deluxe (deluxe to come later). Callie loved it when I used it for the first time at lunch today and passed out the entire time I walked around and slept in there even while I was eating! I call it a success!
