Yesterday was Juan and my 2 year wedding anniversary. We left Callie at her grandparents and went out to dinner and the movies. It was a good break for the two of us to get out together and relax. I may have been a little too relaxed as I fell asleep in the movie about 4 times. Exhausted mommy doesn't usually get a break like that. When we went back to pick her up they said she had been sleeping since 7:30! What?! She NEVER does that for us. We can't get her to bed before 9 on our best night. Not sure what the grandma secret is but she sure loves being with them. She had her hair done and was playing with her giraffe.
A lot has changed in 2 years and it seems like our wedding was just yesterday. The weather however is very similar and out of the ordinary, cloudy and cool just like the day we got married. We welcome all the crazy changes that come with a baby Callie and are looking forward to 50 more years of adventures.

Down with dairy :(
Well my verdict on the dairy trial is guilty. Even though she isn't as miserable as when she was younger it definitely bothered her. She was gassier than usual and fussier. So I will continue to leave all dairy out if my diet. We will try again around 4-5 months and see if she can tolerate more when she gets older. Bummer for me :(

Dairy trial day 2
I can't really tell if dairy made a difference for Callie today. She had a pretty average day. Some crying but no more than usual. Now she is crying but this is pretty typical of nighttime. So I'm trying a day 2 to get a better idea. Tonight I had rocky road ice cream. So we will see how she does the rest of the night and morning. Wish me luck!
Big and strong
Callie finally is able to enjoy her stroller as she can hold her head up and look around now. Her eyes are closed here because she still hates the sun but when we walk the other way she opens them up.
She also can hold her head up when she is on her tummy. Remember hen we had the first photo of her on her tummy? Here she is again just way bigger and I don't have to help her anymore.

Morning after dairy
Well we survived a night. I can't say whether it really bothered her or not. She woke up a little more often but seemed really hungry. She was tough to get back to bed at 5 but I was so tired I didn't really try; instead I just brought her to bed with me. Then this morning she seems fine. All smiles when she woke up. I'll try again to see if we can figure this out.
Testing my theory on dairy
I am officially testing my theory on dairy bothering Callie. We made brownie cookie sundaes late at night with frozen yogurt. Now I'll watch and see how Callie is tomorrow. I'm hoping she is fine and I can go back to having dairy products before our trip. Tomorrow will be results day. This is her happy go lucky today before dairy...

10 weeks
Callie is 10 weeks old now, sorry this post went up one day late. We are still waiting for the nights to get better. Some nights she is good and will go to sleep and others she cries and cries until she can't stay awake any longer.
She is starting to be able to sit up better when supported by the couch and is pretty darn good at holding her head up now. Callie enjoyed her first sitting upright stroller ride today, all the way til the last 3 houses on the block. Then she had a meltdown, but I think it was just because she was hungry.
Here she is in her padres outfit supporting the worst team in baseball.
She is able to smile now and she talks to us a lot more. You can see in some of the photos her mouth is changing shape because she is talking.
