Night out

Today we are celebrating Juan's birthday and are heading out to watch college football and then go out downtown. Callie is spending the night with grandma and grandpa. We snapped a few birthday photos a day early since tomorrow will be a lounging day. Here we are with little miss. Check out her faux jeans, stretch pants with jean stitching. Happy early birthday to daddy!

Prunes and Pups

Callie is battling constipation due to her recent increase in her reflux meds. The doctor is looking into a possible change in medications but in the meantime wants us to give her prune juice everyday. I didn't think Callie would drink it but what do you know she does! She just sucks down the juice from her bottle. Here she is with her bottle of black, looks gross huh? We had plenty of cans of prune juice from when I was pregnant so now I am passing them on to Callie. It does seem to work but I am hoping for a better long term solution than prunes everyday. Poor baby has to deal with a yucky tummy both ways now, pooping and puking.
The pups always want to keep her happy though! They are always right by her side. Here they were this morning hanging out with her. So much love from her furry brothers.
Oh and one last photo from the top of the Coronado bridge. Yesterday I got stuck in traffic mid span so while I was stopped I snapped a photo, ahh the beauty of San Diego.

Happpy Halloween Card

By now most of you should have already seen this. I think it is just too cute. What I did learn about taking photos is that if I thought it was hard to get 2 dogs looking with their eyes open, its WAYYY harder to get a baby, me, and 2 dogs all looking and with eyes open. Now I know why they have all those cards that have spaces for several small photos. Because when you can't get a good photo of everyone you just get a good photo of each individual and throw it together as a fancy collage. Well at least that's what I did. I think she is just too cute. As a little extra beyond the card I am adding some extra photos.

Raspberries

So a little bit ago I was telling you how Callie starting spitting when she is mad or doesn't like something. I have been trying to get a video of this for you but I am never ready when she does it.  Well I think I finally got one. It short but you can hear her do it. I cant help but think it is cute. It is hard not to smile when she does it. She never does it during complete melt downs, just when she is frustrated or doesn't like a toy or is done playing with something. I call it her all done noise. Like if she is not wanting to eat what we are feeding her she will start making this noise, although usually food comes out with it!

Don't forget Manny

Manny doesn't want you to forget about him. Everywhere I go with Callie he wants to be right there in the way, I mean in the middle, eh eh. Sometimes when I'm in a rush its annoying but this time it was cute. Callie was sitting in the rocker while I picked up the books and Manny jumped up to be there with her. He usually avoids moving furniture but must have figured its safe if Callie is there. I snapped a quick few of them together. Good buddies :)

While Callie sleeps...

My most productive hours are while Callie is asleep. Tonight I got all the Halloween cards ready for the mail. So they will be coming soon.... I will post the photo this weekend in case I somehow missed anyone, hopefully I did not. My apologies in advance if I did.
Here is an adorable photo of Callie napping and grandmas house today. She had a busy fun filled day as Grandpa was home to play with her all day. She was ready for bed before we even made it home tonight!

Welcome home daddy

We are so happy to have daddy back home! I have so much respect for single moms because I just don't think I could do it. It's impossible to get anything else done. An extra set of hands is so helpful. Since Juan got home we changed the sheets, did 6 loads of laundry, went grocery shopping, out to get lunch, cleaned out the fridge, and I made a new homemade body scrub. It was a busy day.
Oh and how could I forget... We took the Halloween photo!!!! It's top secret, but will be coming in the mail soon and ill post it on the blog.
