Happy 4th Birthday Callie

Time sure goes by quickly! Callie turned 4 today! She had an extra special day for sure. We made a special trip to Starbucks and got chocolate milk topped with whipped cream. She had cupcakes at school at lunch with all 50 kids. She had a special birthday crown made by her new teacher. Then we had a pizza party at La Bella's. Callie Diego and Ford had a great time playing games and running around together. She's growing up fast! Happy Birthday to my special little doodle!

Christmas presents in April

The neighbors from around the corner with all their Christmas lights we visit daily  between Thansksgiving and Christmas told us to stop by as they had Christmas presents for the kids. They hadn't seen us walking by in awhile and thought they would see us eventually but never did. So tonight we walked over and the kids opened Christmas presents. They were so excited! And they both got things they love! Callie got a BabyAlive doll and Diego got trucks. Christmas in April. We have some superb neighbors around here.

Moving up a class

Today Callie moved up a class in school. I had no idea this was happening today but when we showed up at school the director said today was the day. Callie was so excited! She had a great first day in her new classroom with the 4 year olds. I didn't take any photos today but here's a few from Tia Mari while she babysat th kids yesterday. Callie is a bride :)

Coloring a family photo

The other night Callie and I sat down for some late night coloring. We decided to draw our family. We worked together as she gets frustrated easily but she directed me on what we should all wear and who goes where. We drew our family added Manny then decided we needed LT watching from heaven. So we drew him up on a cloud with wings. Then Callie said we needed another photo of her with Papa KiKi and Grandma. She told me what they wear and focused on highheels. Then she drew Olaf the snowman on top sideways. Interesting touch but hey it's her photo. The masterpiece is hanging on our wall but the PaPa and Grandma one was sent home with PaPa KiKi.

Run away

Yesterday Diego ran away from me for the first time. Usually he's the kid that stays close always keeps you in sight and listens to what you tell him. Yesterday he took off down the sidewalk towards the neighbors and didn't come back when called. At first I thought it was a fluke but then we went to the park last night and he did the same thing. Usually when I say I'm leaving he follows closely behind. He's getting much more independent but has always been safe and a good listener. Now I need to make sure I get him back on track. I can't have a wild running from me 2 year old!

In his independence he also loves swimming by himself with the double swimmies. He could stay in the water for hours. Today he wanted to wear Callies goggles to be just like her. I tried to convince him he sunglasses were just as good but he insisted to try the goggle and liked them!

Lack of posts

I've been busy at night working on birthday stuff for the kids so sorry about no posts. Haven't had anything to write or photos to post. Last night I made cupcake toppers for D in Lion Guard as you can't buy much Lion King or Lion Guard birthday stuff. I did have a few photos from playing at Grandmas yesterday so here they are.

Happy birthday Jorge

Jorge came over to have birthday dinner and cake. Callie insisted he needed a real party with decorations. I took her to the dollar store and we bought crazy balloons a birthday banner and princess straws. She made him a cake and a birthday drawing and name keychain. She was so excited for him to come over and even Diego got in on the birthday excitement. Callie blew out his candle on the cake before we even finished the song. So much for letting the birthday boy make a wish. Hope you had a fabulous birthday as planned by a almost 4 year old Jorge!
