Callie's tent

I finally got around to taking Callie's tent down today after it was blown across the lawn. But first in the morning she played outside in it with Manny. I took a quick video of her playing with him as he is getting older and I want to remember how they were good friends. Manny really does adore the kids even though they can torment him sometimes due to his tiny size.

The Zoo and S'mores night

I keep finding posts that don't go through :( this one is from Sunday.

Callie had a busy day! In the morning she got to play with her new fire truck. GiJu actually got this out here on the plane! One of the many amazing things Southwest has delivered to CA from CT. She even owe her fire chief jacket and it has real spraying water. Then, Juan kept Diego all day so we could enjoy the day at the zoo without having to drag him around. It was really nice as I was 17 lbs lighter walking around without him in the carrier and we could use just a little umbrella stroller for Callie. We walked half the zoo in about 3.5 hours which is pretty good compared to the amount we see when I take both kids. Callie had lots of fun showing Jon all her favorite parts of the zoo. We were all tired by the time we went home. I had a long afternoon nap with D but Callie didn't fall asleep for an hour as she is still so excited singing and having fun. Tonight Marge and Jon came over for a quick dinner and after I put Diego to bed we had a fire with s'mores and even a tent in the yard. Somehow I didn't manage to take a single photo of the tent, oops, but Callie was having so much fun like she was camping. She is just going to bed now after 8 pm! Lots of photos today but I couldn't limit it to just a few.

Saying goodbye

Today was all about goodbyes. We said goodnight last night to Marge Jon and Gig, as they left at 4 am this morning while we were still asleep . This morning Callie asked for her Gig even though I told her multiple times she wouldn't be here. She thought for a minute then said tomorrow drop me off at the airport. When I asked why she said so she can fly a plane to Gig house and see snow. So cute. She had so much fun with Gig and it was a short visit.
Then today we went to have breakfast with Tia Nena to say goodbye sine she went home today too. We were late to breakfast because Diego took a nap for 2 hr and 45 min! Yes you saw that correctly! I don't know what it was and I can't say for sure but yesterday we started putting a new amber necklace on him and then this happened. I'm hoping it really is some miracle necklace and I get more of these amazing sleep stretches. Callie was waiting to go to Grandmas for over an hour wearing her backpack packed with her coffee pot and tea pot to assist with breakfast. Luckily curious George came on and kept her occupied while she waited for him to wake up.

Bathtub Buddies

Diego is into splashing around in the tub now. I let him sit in the tub with Callie the other day and they had so much fun! He was laughing and splashing. It was hard to take a video because I was holding him up with one hand and videoing with the other and my arms just aren't too long or coordinated.

Pool time with GiJu Marge and Jon

We crashed the hotel pool at Marge and Jon's hotel today. It was a hot day so the pool felt great. Callie had lots of fun splashing around. D was enjoying the water until I moved out to take his photo then he started with the crying. Callie has been having so much fun with her visitors and is just in heaven playing with her GiJu and all the toys she brought. Tomorrow we are going to visit the zoo!

Hullabaloo with friends

This morning I took the kids to see Hulabaloo kids songs sung live at the Racho Bernardo winery. They also had a farmers market and as a bonus we got some wine to drink. The kids weren't too wowed by the singing. Callie was very interested and watched closely but didn't get down and participate and dance with the other kids. She sat on a chair and ate snacks like an adult. D seemed to enjoy the music and was a happy little camper.
And the other photos are of Callie making fruit kabobs with grapes, her new favorite way to eat fruit!
GiJu Marge and Jon arrived today so lots more in photos coming soon.

Two teeth

Diego's second tooth has come in. Its been a rough few nights where he cant sleep well and just wants to be held and nurse but the tooth is finally through the gum. Now I am hoping it settles down for a little bit. He also has this new strange rash on his cheeks. I am hoping its a teething rash from all the drooling and then rubbing his face on the blankets but it also reminds me of Callie's beginning allergy rash, which makes me more nervous. Guess we just keep watching it and see what happens to find out what is causing it. Here are a few photos I snapped earlier in the week on my camera of the two kids. No fancy clothes or set up and limited cooperation means not the best 6 month photos still. I still feel like I need to get some better photos for his 6 month shoot, so I will try this weekend.
