Dancing queen

Callie is dancing all the time. It's hard to get her very cute dances on video as she often gets shy. Juan got this video of her this week. I love the twirl around and the pointing arm. She is a riot!

Also Tia Mari shared these photos of all the visitors Callie had this week. No wonder she doesn't want to nap at Grandmas house!! Too much fun!

BandAid?

Callie's steristrips fell off today! I wasn't really feeling ready yet but I think it's for the best. I went over to see her mid morning since I was already out of the office getting my Hepatitis A vaccine. For those of you that don't know, Callie and I have been eating frozen berries from Costco that are now known to be contaminated with Hep A, great right? Like I needed anything else this week. Anyways Callie was vaccinated in April so she should be fine and I got my vaccine today to cover me. So back to the scar. When the strips came off its looking ok. Not as good as I wanted but not too bad. I was hoping for a tight little line but after the fall and the bleeding the second day I should have known better. It's bruised, red, and not fully closed. I called the pediatrician, they must be tired of hearing from me by now, and told them. They said it is ok to put bacitracin and a bandaid to keep her from touching it. Well she tries to pull the bandaid off!! She didn't even have an afternoon nap today bc she was so busy with the bandaid! Oh Callie... She was exhausted tonight. It looks a little better tonight already then this morning. I am hopeful she will be a super healer and the scar will be smaller than this looks right now.

Elmo Jammies

Callie wore her new Elmo pajamas tonight. I bought them a few weeks ago but it hasn't been warm enough for short sleeves. Today was warm and the house was warm at night so we tried them out. Callie noticed there was and elmo on them right away. She was trying to look at it on her shirt
She also has been learning to be gentle with the dogs after a few recent bouts where she is too rough. Here she is giving Manny a kiss without touching him as when she puts her hands on his body he tends to get nervous she might squeeze him.
Did you see Juan's eye? Lol
They are good buds, sharing germs, Callie will have a good immune system.
We trimmed the steristrips today since they were starting to peel somewhat, did you notice?
Callie had her last day home with daddy today and tomorrow she goes back to stay with Grandma Nena who hasn't seen her head yet.... Oh uh!
She enjoyed her day with her daddy and lots of love x o x o

Here is a video clip of her both loving Manny and crying about Manny. We are still working on this friendship ;)

My mommy's shoes

Callie has been obsessed with my shoes lately but more specifically my flip flops. She wants to play with them, try them on, look at them, anything. She also started saying mama this week! It's not as predictable or consistent as dada but I am working to help her solidify my name as mama. :)
These photos are from Monday in case you are wondering...
Her scar looks a little better today. The stitches are coming out. They are dissolvable but it's a little earlier than I wanted. However it's still holding together well. It has a little scab and we keep it covered with a bandaid.

And also Ms Dangerous can now reach the front door handle! We keep it locked with the deadbolt so she cannot open it but look at her try! She got so mad when it wouldn't open too.
Thanks Grandma Nena for the adorable bear in tutu onsie she brought back from Washington.

Allergist.... Again!

I feel like we are always at the allergist. Today we went back for skin testing for the items they blood tested in April. I am not feeling very confident in either these days. Callie has new allergies added and only beef and wheat are maybe ok to try.
The added no nos are all tree nuts: walnuts, pecans, and I can't even remember all the rest.
It seems interesting to
Me because I still feed her almonds even though she tested positive. I believe my eyes and seeing how my daughter reacts to foods more than a skin or blood test.
I am actually just tired of going there and can't say it's helping us in any way. I have an appt next Tuesday to take her to a holistic pediatrician, D.O. who specializes in allergies, obviously not covered by our insurance. I am hoping she may have better insight into this allergy thing. I want Callie to become un allergic to everything.
We will try wheat and beef in the next few weeks, but for now I need the stitches to heal before I can imagine trying a previously allergic food addition. Here we are keeping busy at the allergist.

Giant bubbles

I didn't take any photos today but I had these from yesterday while Callie and I played with the new giant bubble wand. It's pretty cool she can even do it all by herself. Ill try to get some video of it soon.
Today Callie fell on the cement sidewalk walking and hit her forehead. She was bleeding and crying all over again. Sigh... I can't win with this kid. The steristrips are holding it together tightly so I don't think it will be a problem but it would be better if it healed without more injury.

Party Animal

Callie loves birthday parties. Today we went to a first birthday for one of my coworkers kids. Callie thinks she is a big kid and even wanted to be in the jumper with all the big kids. I had to keep her out as it was too rowdy and I was worried about her bonking her head. There was a dog there that she was obsessed with. He was very friendly but she just wanted to play with him the whole time. She enjoyed the frosting from the cake and visiting the other kids. Here is a shot of her trying to kiss the birthday boy and one of her with Michelle's kids.
