Sunday Funday

I really want to be sure we spend some good quality time with Callie doing fun things before Diego gets here. I know the first few weeks we will likely just be home and she will go stir crazy so I am trying to get her out as much as possible now. Today Juan and I took her to the aquarium. She has been loving Finding Nemo so the aquarium can be fun. To be honest she isn't that interested in looking in the tanks. She likes the stairs, the other kids, and the outdoor exploration exhibits more than anything. It was a chilly cloudy day and so it was pretty empty which was nice. Juan did all the lifting since I'm so big these days and that gave me the opportunity to take more photos. In the afternoon she wanted to play with her new football and play catch in the new grass. It's nice rose that Callie wants to play outside in the front yard and asks to bring out more balls and toys. It at least makes me feel like we did the right thing putting in all new grass. She is learning to catch but its still pretty funny.
Tomorrow is the big first day of school. We have been talking about it a lot and I swear sh is the smartest kid. She asks if I am going with her and I have explained that I drop her off and I will pick her up. I was specific that tomorrow I will pick her up before lunch but didn't think she would grasp that. Tonight when we talked about packing her bag tomorrow for school she again asked, "mommy too?" And I said no mommy will drop you off for a few hours to play, and she says "pick you up before lunch?" I mean seriously? Incredible listening and memory.. I was so impressed :) and I already taught her her teaches name. Since all this is sticking, I am hoping the conversations we have about not sharing food and only eating what mommy sends in her lunch bag are also getting through to her. Regardless I will keep repeating that and for the first few days its just snack time.the question will be, does she cry or not?
