So what can D do at 6 months?
Sit by himself for about 30 seconds
Roll over, but usually only in his bed to his stomach and he tends to just cry rather than roll when left on the floor to play.
He also just learned to push himself backwards. Like a backwards crawl. He pushes up on his arms extended and since the floor is slippery he slides backwards.
He can hold toys in his hands and is able to grab things pretty accurately. He stuck his hand in my hotdog ketchup last week and always is trying to steal food off my plate. His second favorite things to grab are the remote and cell phone.
His legs are strong, he can stand up for awhile if you hold his hands to help him balance.
His sleep is worse than ever and he is back to bring up every two hours. With his teeth coming in I have given in rather than listen to him cry, so it's partially my fault for not sticking with it. My goal is to get him to his own room this month and down to one night feeding. He's a chunky guy and definitely doesn't need to eat, it's more of a soothing thing for him and he just wants to be with me all the time. He's a mommas boy for sure although he has settled in pretty well with daddy now and rolls over in our bed in the morning to bat at his face and wake him up.
Happy 6 months D, here's to hoping the second six months of this year has a lot less crying. I didn't get too many good photos as D wasn't cooperating but I think he crying photo is actually perfect to show this side of him plus you can see his tooth and I'll use it to remind him when he is older. I'll snap some more photos for 6 months this week but I wanted to be sure I at least got a few today.
