Today we took Callie to Padres FanFest at Petco Park. She has never been to a baseball stadium before, this was her first trip. They had a bunch of activities and events going on to get people excited for the season. Considering they have empty stadiums for all the games we didn't anticipate it being that crowded, but we were wrong. It was packed. We showed up towards the end and were bummed that they already ended the face painting and balloon animals, but Callie still had fun. She got to walk on the field, eat her snack in the stadium seats, play in the sand pit and jump in the bouncy house. She had a good time and even got to take home some free toys from some of the vendors, a slinky and a pencil, who knew she would be so excited over these little things.
I wanted to buy her a Padres shirt but they were so overpriced there, so ill hold off and get her one at Walmart another day. We had a fun afternoon even without tons of activities to do there. We will have to take her to a game this summer for sure and maybe bring Diego along too.
