Beach Day with GiGi and Pa

Today we took Callie to the beach. It wasn't the warmest day, just a tad above 70, so we stuck to the bay where it is protected with less wind and also warmer water. It was still quite breezy. Callie was a fish trying to swim like the big kids. Pa helped her since I can't go in the water or lift her if she falls under, which is pretty frequent.

She wore her swim wings/vest for the first time and did ok with them surprisingly.

We took a walk down the beach. This week she started doing these big kicks after seeing another little boy jump. I just happened to catch this huge karate kick one on video! Very impressive, I see either yoga or karate in her future ;)

It was a fun filled last day with GiGi and Pa. Callie has now been calling them, GeeJuu and Papa. I guess she makes her own versions of names now. I tried hard to get it on video but she got quiet as soon as I wanted to get her to say it. Typical luck. I bet tomorrow when they are one she will be very sad and be asking for them all day. It's going to be the first sad bye bye, but I think it's best they are leaving before she wakes up. I can't imagine her seeing them walk away and saying bye and I don't think Gigi would make it walking away with her crying for them.

Hopefully the next visit is soon. Tomorrow I will show you the big kitchen reveal that GiGi and Pa worked on so hard this week.
