Surprise! Happy Birthday GaGa!

It's been a big secret that we were traveling to CT yesterday to be here for GaGa's 80th birthday. We kept it a surprise, barely but somehow we did it. My brother stayed home from work and we surprised her at her favorite lobster restaurant on the ocean. She was so surprised! She didn't even see the kids, myself or Ed peeking from behind the menu board until we jumped out and yelled surprise. Her face was priceless! She had no idea we were coming. It made all the secrecy worth it. I'm so glad the kids and I could be here for GaGa's big birthday. What a great way to spend the day. We love you GaGa! Happy Birthday!!

Happy Fathers Day

We started the day taking the dads to the movies with the kids to see Finding Dory. Diego was a crazy wiggle worm and didn't watch barely any of the movie. It was a hot hot day in the high 90s so we played in the water a bit then moved inside to AC. It was a fun day celebrating these three great dads and lots of love sent to my other three dads in CT. We love all of you for everything you do for us.

Popsicles and friends

It's been hot out here! We have been eating Popsicles frequently and Grandma even got us a new rocket ship Popsicle mold we made lemonade fruit pops. We also got to see a lot of friends. Isla came over to play instead of going to the fairy festival as I didn't pay attention to how far away it was. Then after a pool party for Callies friend from school we went to see Lans new baby Elenor at Dimitris house. Callie sure loves babies!

Driving mom crazy

Today was one of those days where the kids set out to drive me crazy. I think the lack of sleep just makes Callie a grouch the next day. Even with a long nap she drove me nuts today. She dresses herself and picked Diegos shorts (her choice of shirt was far from matching) then insisted I take their photos as I was rushing to get to the eye dr. They weren't the best behaved kids at the eye dr but it didn't help that we waited an hour plus and the entire visit took over 90 minutes. Ugh I'll be glad to go to sleep tonight.

Beach Party

We had a beach party on a Sunday night! Reunion of the ski trip crew. Diego sat this one out as he has still been quite crabby. Had a blast cooking hot dogs and smores over the fire and even went fancy with ribs at the beach. Beautiful San Diego night and sunset with friends.

Callie's sunglasses shop

Callie cracks me up. First it was a bagel store in our playground and now the upstairs is a sunglasses shop. She needs more sunglasses to sell she says. I try to talk her into being a physical therapist but she's into anything sales. One of a kind this girl!

Diego's feeling under the weather with a fever and what I think is a tooth coming in. He keeps saying mouth hurts. I'm not sure what's going on but he's very sad. Hopefully he feels better soon.
