3 Little Monkeys
Here are my 3 little monkeys all on my bed. We have to stop LT from licking her hands and face. He wants to be so close to her.
8 week checkup woes
Callie had her 8 week check up today. As improved as we think her reflux has been, the pediatrician does not think it is enough since she still cannot sleep lying on her back and spits up frequently when we lay we on her back. So she will continue with the same medicine but at a much higher dose, part of which is due by her increased weight!
Speaking of weight, she weighed in at a hefty 12 lbs 1 oz! That is only 75th percentile. I can't imagine the 99th percentile kid! Her length is now 22.5 inches, 55th percentile just like her average height parents.
The doctor is officially calling her nighttime screaming colic now and says just wait it out til around 4 months. Half way there doesn't seem to console me and her crying at night.
She was also diagnosed with thrush and eczema and so now she has more medicines to take.
Callie showed off her screaming skills when they gave her the vaccines and she has been extremely fussy since, crying most of the afternoon. Poor baby had a rough day. Hoping she feels better soon. :(

Poop-plosion
Callie hadn't pooped in more than 24 hrs which is really out of the ordinary for her. Grandma said she ate more than usual all day so she wasn't sure why no poop all day. Well what do you know tonight while I was rocking her in the chair we had a poop explosion! Poop was going everywhere, I could feel warm lava on my belly and down my pants! I was paranoid it was going to get on my awesome chair so I yelled for Juan to bring a roll of paper towels. The chair still got poo on it so luckily we had it stain treated and itit came right off with the special cleaner. She was so covered it was on her head and we had to immediately have a bath! Now we are all clean and happy. This little monkey smiling is a sinister butt covering on her onsie. It's like he is laughing at the explosion. But now she is fast asleep at 8:45, I'm hoping she is out for the night.

Waiting.. And now good news
I am sitting at the vet waiting for Manny, meanwhile daddy and Callie are waiting at home. Here is Manny right before I handed him over and daddy and Callie snuggled at home waiting for us.
7:15 pm update: good news! The vet called and they can't find anything wrong with Mannys liver besides its a little smaller than expected. The vet thinks we should continue with the food and liver protective drugs and then retest again in another month. If the seizures continue than we will give him keppra to control the seizures. So hopefully he is doing better and doesn't need any additional treatment.

Juggling act
Today Callie is being juggled around. I had a last minute haircut this morning for a friend needing a model for his stylist training. Callie stayed with Tia Eliana for a few hours. Thanks for being available so last minute! Then I had Callie in the afternoon but dad has to come home from work early to watch her because Manny has an appointment too. Manny is going for an ultrasound at the specialty vet in San Diego for his liver issues. Last weeks liver bile enzyme tests didn't turn out well so the ultrasound will look for a tumor or a shunt malfunction. Poor manny is a sick puppy :(
Callie gets to spend a little bit of time with everyone today, but jeez having to juggle her place to place and make these appointments is tough! Hoping mannys ultrasound goes ok.

Baby BBQ
Yesterday Juan and I went to a BBQ at my friend Kristen's place with all our friends who are new parents. Kristen's little boy Dimitri is now 7 months and I think has a crush on Callie. He is always wanting to touch her and very interested. Lan works with me and her little Ben is just 2 weeks younger than Callie. Here's a few photos of all the babies and mommies.
