Living in the green- happy birthday Devon

Today would have been our friend Devon, who we lost in a tragic accident in December , Birthday. We have been living his motto of living in the green. A bunch of friends got together, all wore green and planted a tree in a local park in honor of him. Hopefully the city doesn't take our tree down. We carefully selected a spot that seemed like they may not notice or landscape. Afterwards we went out for a drink and lunch as Devon would have had us all taking Birthday shots if he was here. Here's to you Devon, thinking of you and wishing your family peace.

Wild wednesday

A month ago my dear friend lost her husband in a horrible accident. She's been hating Wednesday's and I can't blame her. So she decided that Wednesday's are officially Wild Wednesday to honor Devon each week. Devon was the kind of guy who always did crazy unexpected but also wildly fun things.

So to honor and remember Devon this Wild Wednesday Diego and I got a little crazy in the park.... we crossed over the caution tape to climb the fallen trees, played sword fights with sticks, and Diego stood on this random tiny wood pole. Living on the edge for you Devon. I know it's not as wild as Devon would have been but hope he's smiling watching us from above.

Monday at the zoo

We struck gold and lucked out for an awesome zoo day Monday.. almost empty and perfect sunny weather. And we saw the tigers up close as well as lions and heaviest. It was a big cats day for us!
